District Managers (DM) are full time employees and members of the Home Delivery department in the Circulation Division. Our District Managers manage an assigned geographic area and must have the flexibility to make changes in their work schedules. DM’s are responsible for approximately 3,500 home delivery subscribers from 10 different publications. The day begins at approximately 1:30 a.m. with a 5-hour “service shift” followed by 3 hours of flex time for other tasks as scheduled by the DM. Strong time management and organizational skills are essential to be a successful District Manager.
Our District Managers are self-motivated individuals; they are energetic and committed to customer satisfaction. Their leadership skills are used daily in overseeing our independent contractors in satisfying customers. DM’s take pride in resolving service issues with contractors and customers. They are instrumental in ensuring that exceptional porch delivery is maintained while meeting established standards in sales/retention, paperwork and customer follow-up.
